Popular crypto hardware wallet maker Ledger, is collaborating with The Sandbox metaverse, in a move aimed at bringing security to the metaverse.
The partnership, announced on Monday, April 4 at the Non-Fungible Conference (NFC) in Paris, will see Ledger do for the metaverse what it did for cryptocurrencies.
In the deal, Ledger will provide SAND owners custom Ledger Nanos, as well as build a hub on their Sandbox LAND to educate users.
“The reality is that educated people become Ledger customers,” Ledger chief experience officer Ian Rogers was quoted by Cointelegraph.
“So we just want to make sure that all people have all the education they need to be safe and to properly manage this incredible right and freedom that they have of self-custody.
“Self-custody really gives you personal freedom, but it’s also responsibility. You have to take it super seriously so that you keep that right and don’t lose it.”
This partnership comes just weeks after Ledger announced a new limited edition NFT-focused wallet.
