GT Racing Team To Use NFTs To Authenticate Car Parts

Italian GT racing team Vincenzo Sospiri Racing (VSR) has announced a partnership with an NFT platform to authenticate and certify car parts.

Lamborghini-backed VSR has teamed up with Go2NFT, to build an NFT certification system for their race cars, in a bid to ensure the quality of the parts.

“We believe that NFT utility can help create more trust and transparency for brands and their fans. This project with VSR is just the start of many such co-operations for beloved brands across the globe.”

The partnership will also include certification of official merchandise and branded goods. This, the two companies believe, will ensure that fans are purchasing genuine products.

This latest parternship follows the trend of crypto/NFT companies teaming up with racing teams.

In February, crypto exchange platform Bybit sponsored Formula 1 racing team Red Bull to the tune of $150 million.

Crypto.com has also sponsored Aston Martin’s F1 team.
