Atari Launches NFT Loot boxes To Celebrate 50th Anniversary

Atari Loot box NFT

Atari is the latest video game company to enter the NFT craze.

The classic game developer has launched a collection of NFT loot boxes, dubbed ‘GFT’, which is short for Gifts.

Each of these boxes will contain one of 10 images inspired by their popular retro titles. Differentiating these loot boxes from the ones in the actual game, is that their contents will be unveiled on a later date, and not upon purchase.

Buyers will have to wait until then, to find out if theirs are “common”, “rare”, or “epic”. The ‘unwrapping’ will happen automatically in their wallets.

The GFTs will be launched on February 1, on GFTShoppe.

Celebrating the brand that launched the modern video game industry.

The Atari 50th Anniversary Commemorative GFT Collection honors Atari’s 50th anniversary, celebrating the exciting future ahead while commemorating the iconic Atari 2600 console and fan favorite games such as Combat, Swordquest, Asteroids, Centipede, and more.
