The team behind popular meme coin ‘Shiba Inu‘ has announced that they will soon start selling real estate on their still under-development metaverse.
Last month, they announced ‘Shiberse’, an immersive metaverse for their ecosystem, that is to be launched later in 2022.
They now have an update for their ‘ShibArmy’.
Right now, development of the Shiberse metaverse is still in the early phase. ‘Shiberse’ is still a working title, but the final name will be revealed this month, according to a blog post from the company.
Following in the example of Decentraland and The Sandbox, Shiberse will offer ‘Shiba Lands’ for purchase and auction soon. These are pieces of virtual real estate inside the metaverse, that are sold off as NFTs.
It will be the first time the community will own a piece of the metaverse.
To prevent automated bot bidding and ‘gas wars’, the team is working on a queue system, which would require interested parties to hold $LEASH. Holders will be granted exclusivity in this first selling phase, before the remaining Lands are unlocked for the general public.
As of now, no dates have been provided, but we’ll certainly keep you updated.
