John Lennon, Beatles Collectibles To Be Sold as NFTs

John Lennon NFT

Julian Lennon, the eldest son to Beatles lead vocalist John Lennon, is auctioning his father and band’s memorabilia as NFTs. These Non-Fungible Tokens will however not be tied to the physical thing, as he plans on keeping that.

The items are from Julian’s personal collection, and include: a black cape worn by his father in the film Help! and handwritten notes for The Beatles song Hey Jude.

Also included in the sale are: the Afghan coat worn by John Lennon in the made-for-television film the Magical Mystery Tour and three Gibson guitars given to Julian Lennon by his father.

The NFTs will be sold in an audio-visual format, with Julian Lennon narrating alongside imagery of the item.

The final online auction will take place on February 7, with part of the proceeds going to Julian Lennon’s White Feather Foundation.

So far, the highest bid that has come through is $30,000 for Hey Jude Notes Written by Paul McCartney.
