The British Museum Now Accepting ETH for their NFT Exhibits

British Museum NFT

The British Museum was one of the first in the world to get onboard the NFT train. In September 2021, they entered a collaboration with NFT platform, LaCollection, dropping over 200 NFT versions of Japanese artist, Katsushika Hokusai’s works.

The project was a success, and the museum has announced another collaboration; this time a collection based on paintings by English romantic artist William Turner.

They will be selling 20 NFTs of his artwork, available in three rarities: Ultra Rare, Super Rare, and Open Edition.

The first Ultra Rare and Open Edition will only be available to those who bought a Hokusai NFT, in a private sale between 8 – 9 February 2022. For the rest, the public sale will start on February 9 to March 5.

Meanwhile, The British Museum has started accepting payments in Ether for their NFTs. The store has been integrated with MetaMask and Fortmatic towards this endeavor.
