While tens of popular artists, actors and famous people have jumped on board the NFT bandwagon, one notable absence has been Kanye West.
The 44 year old billionaire rapper is often found at the forefront of innovation, which has led some to wonder why he has not embraced this new phenomenon.
As it turns out, Kanye doesn’t think very highly of NFTs.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, the rapper said that his interest is in building real products in the real world. Things like real food, real clothes and real shelters.
As a sign that he has been receiving lots of queries about NFTs, Kanye told his fans to stop asking him ‘to do a f*cking NFT’.
He however tactfully left the door open for a future change of mind, saying that he is not on that wave ‘for now’.
“STOP ASKING ME TO DO NFT’s I’M NOT FINNA CO-SIGN … FOR NOW I’M NOT ON THAT WAVE I MAKE MUSIC AND PRODUCTS IN THE REAL WORLD”

It is no doubt that an official Kanye NFT drop would do well financially, and thus very likely that he will eventually get on board.
Artists who have embraced NFTs include: Eminem, Nas, Akon among others.
