Antonio Brown’s Meltdown Video To Be Auctioned as an NFT

One of the most controversial footballing moments in recent times was Antonio Brown’s meltdown and exit while playing against the New York Jets in the third quarter of the game. All the while shirtless.

The wide receiver accused his team of pressuring him to play through an ankle injury despite being in extreme pain, something that the coach termed false.

Following the incident, Brown’s contract was terminated by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, rendering him a free agent.

“The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have terminated the contract of Antonio Brown, effective immediately.

While Antonio did receive treatment on his ankle and was listed on the injury report the week leading up to last Sunday’s game, he was cleared to play by our medical team prior to teh start of the game and at no point during the game did he indicate to our medical personnel that he could not play.

We have attempted, multiple times throughout this week, to schedule an evaluation by an outside orthopedic specialist, yet Antonio has not complied.

Maintaining the health and wellness of our players is of the utmost importance to our organization.”

Now, according to TMZ, footage of that dramatic incident will be turned into an NFT and auctioned on January 13, 2022.

With the video of his exit gaining millions of views on social media, it could end up attracting big bucks. One of the figures being thrown around is $1.5 million.

Bidding for the NFT begins at 12 p.m. PST on the mentioned date.
